Yes! We're so pumped about this! Melvin Oliphant III a.k.a. Traxx is one of those rare and true killer guys from Chicago, who really embrace the musical richness of the windy city, where house music was born. From late seventies till now, Traxx fuses and especially embodies all the relevant music in his very own and distinctive style. So happy to have him for the first time in Ulm!
On top of it we have a reunion with our friend Timo from Dresden, who runs the "We like..." booking agency with lots of success and tons of passion! This is a special one and makes us very happy!

We feel Love! Millions and squillions of records have been played in Munichs gleaming and hedonistic nightlife after Giorgio Moroders synth attacks on Donna Summers hyper sexy voice, which was back in the good old days in the late seventies, were glitter bras seemed to be state of the art and turntables had no pitch function to get abused. And yes, Munich is still one of the most "Disco" cities in Germany and Europe, with great record labels and nightclubs of international shape, fraternally going hand in hand and taking care on the cities heritage for quality electronic music.
Our dear guests Benjamin Roeder and Marvin Carl Schuhmann became integral parts of Munichs underground dance music scene in the last few years. The curly haired simpatico Roeder made big waves with his highly-acclaimed "GLXY" nights were he played memorable sessions alongside well known selectors like Rahaan, Horse Meat Disco and Cosmo Vitelli, just to name a few. His dj-sets grace a lot of clubnights in the most popular spots around munich and europe, making people happy and sweaty. Benjamins newest baby is a music production project with his brother in crime Muallem, which goes by the name "Spectacle", with the objective of sounding out the borders between balearic easiness and jacking floorburners. The results just have seen the lights of the world on friend-label Permanent Vacation.
The renowned crate-digger and beloved gentleman Marvin Carl Schuhmann simply embodies the new force in the dj circuit of the ever-inspiring bavarian capital and he is one of the speer heads of young and aspiring musicians around the glorious city center. Using the Vienna-Munich axis to play back and forth, his clubnight called Tell Your Taxidriver at Erste Liga Club became his most favourite playground, to prove his ability to move people every single week, whether as a dj duo with his mate Valentino or solo as Marvin Bowtie. He is cooking his meals special, with the best ingredients from europe, chiefly italy, and all the other good places, experienced foodies should know.
Let's shake it to the ground!

Die Beautiful Swimmers, bestehend aus Andrew F.-P. & Ari G. aus Washington, D.C., sind wieder zu Gast bei den bleepgeeks! Nach der Riesensause im letzten Jahr haben wir glücklicherweise die zwei Großstadthippster wieder für das Eden gewinnen können. Es wird elektronisch, 80s, obscur und extrem tanzbar. Auf Ihrem eigenen Imprint "Future Times" hat sich seither einiges getan und Sie präsentieren an dem Abend mitunter Ihre neueste Vinyl-Auskopplung "Give it all you got". Die Beautiful Swimmers sind als leidenschafliche Hardcore-Platten-Digger bekannt, demnach dürfen also mächtig gespannt sein, was sich sonst in den Jutetaschen so angesammelt hat und auf die Menge abgefeuert wird!

Finn Johannsen is a music nerd in the most positive sense. Being raised in Schleswig-Holstein's provincial capital Kiel, he soon noticed that there is more to life than catboats and sailing regattas. Being infected with music of all kinds, Finn stumbled across dance music during his time in late-80's Hamburg, where he witnessed the hedonism, sinful behaviour and musical bliss of Klaus Stockhausen's legendary 'Front' clubnights at first hand. Hip hop, Chicago house, Italian disco and American boogie were accompanied by techno from Detroit and Sheffields first Warp records. To this day, Finn holds true that 'anything goes' ethic as long as it moves your feet and your heart: Be it as an adept DJ, an editor for one of Germany's most important electronic music magazines De:Bug or together with Stefan Goldmann behind the daring Macro label.
We truly feel blessed to welcome Finn Johannsen to the holy rooms of eden!

Finn Johannsen at bleepgeeks + Panoramabar mix for modifyer
The speculations about our bleepgeeks march edition finally came to an end! We greatly feel honoured and we truly feel blessed to welcome Finn Johannsen, one of the most gracious and humble figures of Berlins glittering nightlife! This man really has his plate full! He is an experienced and sophisticated dj's dj, a versed journalist for de:bug and a whole series of other publications and NOT last but not least, the label head of Macro with his partner Stefan Goldmann. The list of appreciation letters could go a lot longer but we will stop here to give you an example of his supreme discipline: Playing music for people!
In this particular case he re-recorded and mixed his set at the panoramabar once again for the San Francisco blog modifyer. Pure listening pleasures for y'all!

It's bleepgeeks time! Our october bleep will feature the quintessential dj's dj Gerd Janson from the Running Back Records fame. We had him playing last year in november and we really loved his set, so this was simply a question of time to invite him again to the holy rooms at eden.

Der Stuttgarter Michel Baumann alias Jackmate a.k.a. Soulphiction kann auf eine lange Karriere als DJ und stilbildender Produzent zurückblicken. Schon als Kind absorbierte er die Musik, die von den amerikanischen GI's in den 60ern und 70er Jahren in die Motorstadt gebracht wurde. 1973 legte er sich seine erste Schallplatte zu und ein Jahr später seinen ersten Plattenspieler. Seine Mutter brachte ihn als 12-jährigen zu Psychedelic und Soul, anschließend führte seine Entwicklung zu Funk und Rare Grooves.
Schon im Jahre 1985 begann er als DJ mit Breakbeats und Hip-Hop zu experimentieren. Nach langer Expertise des Rap Sounds wurde er dann Anfang der 90er von der geraden Bassdrum im Sinne der Housemusik aus Chicago und New York gefasst. All diese Einflüsse führten schließlich 1995 zum ersten Release unter seinem weitbekannten Alias Jackmate.
Jackmate produziert Druck, aber nicht das maschinelle "in order to dance"-Moment von Techno, eher so wie wenn man geschubst wird. Aber es ist keine Kraft, die einen zu Fall bringt, sondern eine, die man sofort aufnehmen kann. Genau diese Fähigkeit stellt er auch seit 2000 auf seinem eigenen Imprint Philpot mit anderen Künstlern unter Beweis. Weitere Produktionen auf Labels wie Playhouse, Poker Flat oder Freude am Tanzen erfreuen sich weltweit großer Beliebtheit und geniessen den Ruf als Floorburner und Sammlerstücke. Bei seinen Tracks als Soulphiction huldigt er der deeperen Auslegung der House Schule und definiert diese jedesmal aufs neue.
Lange gewünscht, endlich bekommen! Im Eden freuen wir uns auf ein aufregendes DJ-Set und lassen uns stilsicher in die House, Techno und Discowelt des Moniseur Jackmate verführen!

Yes!!! Marco Passarani ist einer von unseren absoluten Wunschbookings! Ein kurzer Blick auf seine Biographie...
Italien gilt hierzulande in Techno-Angelegenheiten nicht unbedingt als ein Hort großer Namen, Labels und aufstrebender Talente. Die Szene gilt als vergleichsweise überschaubar.
In der ewigen Stadt Rom indes hält sich wacker eine Gruppe von Produzenten, DJs und Labelmacher rund um den Vertrieb Final Frontier. Dazu zählt neben Mario Pierro und Francesco de Bellis eben auch Marco Passarani, der in den frühen 1990ern von Anfang an die Entwicklung von Techno und Acid auf den Raves und Partys in der italienischen Hauptstadt als DJ und durch seine Live-Auftritte miterlebt und gestaltet hat. In der Heimat haftet dem Römer bis heute ein Ruf als ausgezeichneter Organisator heißgeliebter Partys an. Da sich in Italien schon zu Beginn der 1990er-Jahre die Möglichkeiten für den Produzentennachwuchs äußerst bescheiden gestalten, gründet Passarani gemeinsam mit einem Kumpel Nature Records und den zugehörigen Vertrieb Final Frontier.
Später kommen noch die Labels Plasmek und Pigna hinzu, auf dem vor allem Mario Pierro und Francesco de Bellis ihre gemeinsamen Projekte Jolly Music und Mat 101 sowie Mario Pierros Raiders Of The Lost ARP veröffentlichen. Passarani selbst produziert außerdem als J's Pool, Monomorph und Ambit 3 für Labels wie Skam, Hymen, Clone in Rotterdam – der holländischen Bastion für Electro und Italo-Disco - und Peacefrog Records in England, auf dem auch sein Album "Sullen Look" erschien. Aktuell hevorzuheben ist auch seine reguläre Radioshow in der RedBullMusicAcademy names "Dimensione Jack", wo er ein großes Spektrum an Musik darbietet.
In seinen DJ-Sets spielt Passarani klassischen Techno verquirrlt mit Italo-Disco, Electro und Funked-Up-Electronica, Chicago-House, oftmals unveröffentlichte Stücke, Beats oder Edits.
