Александр Градский - Таня белая (хоровод-танок) / Плач
A nice "track" by the Russian rock musican Alexander Gradsky from 1980 which could go through as a dub step track nowadays. According to my Russian friend the lyrics are very morbid. He sings about Tanja who has black eyebrows and black eyes, he wants to marry her, then he's cheating on her, after that she jumps in a river to kill herself.

Clymax - Dance how yuh feel

Overlooked soca-smelling B-Side of this, in fact, well-discovered Double-Sider. Recorded at Blank Studios and mixed by chief Bob Blank. Oh summer, where are you?

Oktagon - Reflection (ruhig wird's)

It's Christmas and time to ease down. Let's help us with Oktagon's "Reflection (ruhig wird's)", a complex jazzfunk tune connected to spacey moments, combined with sad bavarian lyrics. I can't help it, but when the guy starts to sing i confound it with Swabian, also because of the text (shown on the back cover). Or maybe it's because i am a Swabian guy, i dunno. Whatever, in any case it's very special! Recorded and Mixed at Country Lane Studios München 1980. Produced for WERYTON München. Sorry for the worse recording, but i wasn't able to declick this. Sure, this has to sound crystal clear. Anyway, it's getting calm... calm... calm....

Disqö Harmony: Center Stage - Never

One of the painstaking disco-producers was Patrick Adams. He dropped thousands of titles with more or lesser success on different labels with several projects, and is doing many stuff still today. One thing's clear: He has a unique style of harmonies in his music.
In 1980, the disco-era almost vanished. Below this text, we have some last shouts from the disco-influencing label "Prelude", which became also relevant for dance-music during the 80's. The A-Side is a heavyweight harmonytune produced by, guess who, chief Patrick Adams as one of his projects "Center Stage". Along on this project we have a super-classy disco B-Side "Are you ready" produced by Christine Wiltshire, which was also a singer on some of the Patrick Adams productions like "Musique". I suppose she was singing on both sides of the record because she seemed to be involved in the whole project. This record came out on Prelude Records Canada only and was probably never released in the US.
