Mother Superior - You can say you to me, Mr. President
The unholy 80's-kraut-nonfunky-grail of US-Germany relationship! Crazy 1985 politcal-establishment with a bit of non-rap, som' electro-claps here and there, filled with orchestral-hits and successful female interjections...

Ministry - Same Old Madness
"This track still has not seen an official release. It was originally supposed to see light in 1982 as the band's second single following "Cold Life." The song was recorded and a video was filmed (partially at Chicago's Metro) until Ministry decided to move to Arista Records for the release of With Sympathy." thermatedetonator

Etheral Beat - Cedar of Lebanon
Another saxy one! Colourful B-Side of this switzalo-12"-splitter. Take a glas of champagne and slip away on your lilo...
The Final Approach - Que Pasa
Crispy strings that make your booty slap! On the Super Special Mega Stereo Disco Gold Plate... ¡hala!
Disco 84 - Inquilaab
Amar Nath makes a living selling cinema tickets and fast food snacks outside cinema halls. He is taken under the wing of politician and chairman of "Garchen ki Party" Shankar Narayan, and is made to join the police. He falls in love with Sitaram's daughter Asha. The story revolves around Amar and how he fights evil.
watch the full movie here: Inquilaab
Naomi Peterson - Sweet Naomi Rap
Trippin' out female rap with all the right ingredients. Rhymes are mostly thrown off the track, merging into nowhere, quite obscure, not everyone's cup of tea...but hey, it's a funky sound!
Gabi Annicette - Hau schon ab
Electro-Schland-Rap with female vocals. Not for B-Boys or B-Girls, sadly too jagged out rhythm and rhymes, combined with some sax...but hey, the cover, come on!

Aaron Broomfield - I'm gonna miss ya (Poly Rythums)
I know this one's an old hat... but whenever i feel lost in the world of (temporary) monster-indemanders, impossible to finds, real winners, new-discoveries, hard-to-gets become easy finds, rich tracks, poor tracks and hyper-classics i come back to Aaron to take a rest and meditate. This one is a rock that definately has maintained. AUUUM!

Lithuanian Punks, Elektrenai, 1988
journalist will be J
J: what is a family?
J: is it so hard to answer this question?
girl: of course
J: how do you think, is family something that is needed at all?
guy1: i wouldn't say so.
J: why do you say so?
guy1: well... all sorts of scandals occur, for very unimportant things,
guy2: the worst is when a wife wants crystal, and you don't want it.
guy1: for example i really don't like gold
j:why?
guy1: i don't like it, it costs too much
guy3: metal (but he ment iron) is way better
J: so now your married for three months now, did you have any conflicts?
girl: no, we had some before the wedding.
J: why so? What were those conflicts about?
girl: for very small things.
J: does material welfare have a big role towards family's harmony, wellbeing?
guy2: it depends, those who want to live well (as in, be rich) does have some importance, but if want to live normally, it doesn't have any importance as long as wife and a husband get along well.
guy1: well if they don't need money but need love, it won't have any influence.
guy3: i agree with "Screw's" (nickname of guy1) opinion.
Contact - Big Fun (Instrumental)
Instrumental version of this electric jam with a very funky synth- and pianoline. The drumpattern reminds me a bit of Indeep's - When boys talk, which came in 1983... Great for starting the clubnight!
Warner - Live and Learn
Superb UK-Boogie with that special kind of swing in it. Always makes me feel-good. Well-known, but hard to find platter.

The Big Breakdance Contest
The Big Break Dance Contest Live at the Roxy 1983 Full Video! This is
the complete historical performance remastered from the original VHS
recordings it was taped to. It's over 21 minutes of ground breaking
live footage featuring 1983 B-Boy crews, the Magnificent Force, Uptown
Express, the Fantastic Duo, the Flash Dancers, Larry Watson and Jason
Twigg, the Heartbreakers, and the Dynamic Breakers. This B-Boy contest
was hosted by Leslie Uggams, co-hosted by Carlos De Jesus, and includes
celebrity judges Anita Morris, football great Hershel Walker, All My
Childrens' Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams, Earl 'the Pearl' Monroe,
Disco Fever Owner Sal Abbatiello, WABC News Anchor John Johnson,
Saturday Night Fever and Beat Street Choreographer Lester Wilson, and
artist Lillo Thomas. Also features a short introductory documentary on
the early Hip Hop culture featuring interviews with Afrika Bambaataa and
other members of the Zulu Nation. On top of all that it includes a
1983 Burger King Hip Hop commercial from the airing, which was
purposefully included to complete the throw-back vibe. The winners of
the contest received $2500, an appearance on New York Hot Tracks, and a
key roll in the movie Beat Street. If you know the movie, you know who
won the contest! Enjoy!
The Disco Baby Band - Love me baby
Feel-good disco, not too bad, not too strong. No. 1 in France! Written by Copperman, M. Wickfield, P. Forest, P. Racer. who are partly resonsible for the early Sheila & B. Devotion and Black Jack works. Copperman can be found for the super-classic Moon-Birds - Cosmos No1. I know, "Oh my munich" sounds more interesting, but that one is the cheese, although Alistar from Sarr Band's
–
Magic Mandrake is involved.
Sons of Robin Stone – I Need It Bad (Club Mix)
Classy dancer that deserves some attention. The Club Mix is shorter than the Radio Version on the flip side... quite unusual...
Herois do Mar - Amor (Versao Nocturna)
Powerful new-wavein' disco from Portugal which is flaming my skin. Super arrangement, great horns and a killing video. For sure more effective at highest sound volume. Here we have the trippin' out Versao Nocturna for ya. More synths, less vocals, enough space....
