Rosebud - Money
Discofied uber-classic of Pink Floyd's uber-uber-classic. Grows bigger and bigger till to the end.

Rick - House on Fire
Nice synth-track in the mood of Paul Hardcastle with some, i guess, errors in melody. Won't set the dancefloor on fire, but it's worth to play out at the right time, at the right place. On Beauty Records from 1986.

Angie Care - Your Mind (1984)
As Italo-Disco as Italo-Disco can get. Your Mind be Angie Care is a typical but great jam from Italy with a romantic backing and an acceptable dosis of cheese. Considered as a classic. This is not just for big rooms and big feelings only. Well treatment all the way!

Silo Magazin
Silo is an interesting monothematic online and print magazine(written in german), originally made as a degree dissertation by Viet Hoa and Jonas Schulte. The topic for their first issue can be pooled on the reflections about analogue and digital aspects of life, thematised by several people on different examination objects. Stefan Goldmann from Macro Recordings is talking about the record industry for example. I really liked the approach and aspiration of silo and let's hope for further issues in the future!

Tribe 2 - What i like (French Dub In)
Another great starter for the dancefloor from NY's Celluloid label. Absolutely underrated! Produced by Material in 1982 with great vocals in french and english which shows again the ideology of the label, the "cross-cultural fusion" between France and the US.

Some may say this is cosmic, some may say this is disco. I think it's sexy casa.nova.music. Made in Finland in 1978.

Tyler Pope - dfa radiomix # 13
Our friend Tyler Pope from Lcd Soundsystem shared one of his rare mixes for the dfa radiomix series, supplying a cool blend from contemporary House to deep Techno. His fluent session gathers tracks by the likes of Patrice Scott, Anton Zap, Robert Hood and Theo Parrish to name but a few. Well, already in our rotation!

Presser Gábor - D.D. (1982)
From Czech Republic to Sweden. From Sweden to Hungary to reach Presser Gábor for his Electromantic album. The song D.D. is romance with a wink. I'm listening to this on repeat!

Sad Motion - Jag vill ha dig...
The "up-north" story continues. Solid disco-funk from Sweden with a cool disco-bleepin' break in the middle. Made in 1979, released on Dark Records.

The Czech Disco: Discopribeh - Kamelie ORM - Bohemia
Not too much disco-stuff is shown from our neighbouring country, or it's simply hard to get when it fades into obscure and abnormal. I don't claim to be a specialist in czech disco, but anyhow I've gathered together some little information.
Let's start with ORM's -Video Disco aka Hana&Dana... I was wondering how this track could ever reach the light because it's so so fresh and non-communistic, ha! Something like a trick from the producers!? Kicks ass from the start to the end. Otherwise, sorry, these girls made shitty stuff for the masses.
Besides of the czech cartoon „Krtek“ (mole) or other films of a fairy tale that still makes the youth (and senior) happy there's a movie called "Discopribeh" (Disco-Story) that focuses on teenagers or dudes that are coming of age, so... nothing for me anymore... anyhow, nice mood and pictures showing the teeny star Michal David in action (who is still active today)...the groovy soundtrack is available on CD.
Serious stuff here and very collectable: Bohemia - Co mi brani is disco-funky-jazz-whatever music with this little lo-fi underground appeal...
That's all from my side. Do you know more about czech music guys? Please contact us!

Monyaka - Go Deh Yaka (Go To The Top) (Instrumental / Dub) (1983)
This is a classic Easy Street Records jam, even released nearly everywhere in Europe back then and a hit somehow, with its reggaeish feelings. The instrumental is heavily dubbed by legendary mixers Sergio Munzibal & John Morales, bringing you to the sunniest beaches of Jamaica. We said winter is over, right!?

Three Records to go for!!! # 14
Our heading "Three Records to go for!!!" is meant to highlight you some records, mostly newer ones, that turned out into the bleepgeeks music radar through utterly coincidences, well researched record hunts or any other fortunate circumstances. The stuff we introduce can be dance music, comedy, non-dance music, originals, reissues, bootlegs or limited pieces, we don't separate!
In some cases we just liked the Cover of that Record, sometimes we made a mispurchase and sometimes our mandibles came off because of the music which was carved into the rills!
We won't do any reviews, puffing these records up to holy grails or slam them into wax garbage!
It's just made for you to (hopefully) discover new music and new sleeves! We wish you a lot of fun while finding these records at your local record shop on the streets or in your world wide virtual reality through clicking on to your favourite record stop!
Vinyl, we love you lock, stock and barrell!

Walt J - Divinity (Track A2) (1997)
Bought this cool record for 2 bucks in Constance, a beautiful city at the romantic lake of constance in south Germany. Walt J is an overlooked and criminally underrated artist from Detroit, who released a bunch of records in the time period from 1995 till 1997, mainly on Detroit record labels. His Divinity EP is among the best and seems to be sought after. The unnamed tracks are circulating around the detroitish Techno and House coordinates and the A2 track is the shortest one, almost like a sketch, but i like it a lot, like the whole record! The record scan is from the promo with that nice Submerge distribution sticker on it(this adds some extra goodness to it). I have the original pressing. Check out some Walt J business!

Maximum Joy - White And Green Place (Extraterrestial Mix) (1982)
Maximum Joy were a post-punk band from Bristol, England with a strong relationship(concerning aesthetics and attitude) to the New York scene, that peaked with the release of their song "Stretch"(note: their first release) on cult label 99 Records, which was home for bands like ESG for example. A fertile combination in all aspects. The song White And Green Place was the follow up release on their regular label Y Records from UK and marks an equal treat with its rough and freaked out production. Maximum Joy, maximum enjoyment!

Medium Medium - Splendid Isolation
That's how we like it. A quattro-shooter for cheap money. Contains the winner "Hungry, so angry" with a killer post-punk baseline. As i didn't know which track to post i upped the whole 12" for you.

Harvey Harris - Mystery Of Love (1987)
Shake The House is someway an odd release as it was promoted as an album. Pretty much unusual for the heydays of Chicago House music, because back then it was much more about releasing singles instead of elaborated and thought-out albums. What we get here is 100% Harvey Harris, exercising himself through all early varieties of Chicago House themes with great results in spots. Drum machine experimentations take turns with vocal tracks and Mystery Of Love marks one of the highlights on the record with its nice basslines. The pressing of the vinyl is typically poor and lines up into Chicago tradition. Anyway, collectors item!

Lilli Berlin - Freizeit (1982)
The cover of the album doesn't look appropriate anymore, admittedly, but fits well in the zeitgeist when it came out. Süss und Erbarmungslos is a typical eighties NDW(Neue Deutsche Welle) album with a lot of funny ideas, nice electronic experiments and humorous lyrics, even funnier now. On top of it you get a good dosis of Harald Grosskopf, who is one of my favourite synthesizer virtuosos. He was responsible for the drums and synthesizers on this album, completing his efforts with some vocal performances. But it's all about Lilli Berlin on here. She is talking about leisure time on her Freizeit song. Let's have a listen!
